Importing data from an existing Shopify instance for use in Swim

Data from any existing Shopify website that has gone live before you connected Swim to Shopify can be imported into Swim. 

1. Complete a full export of products from your Shopify instance. https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/export-products
2. Match the columns from the export to the applicable column headings of the Swim Stock Import Template found here. If you are unsure of how to complete this process, please contact Swim Support for advice.
3. Import the newly formatted Swim Stock Import Template CSV file into Swim by navigating to Utilities > System > Import. When updating existing stock using the import tool ensure you select GENERAL as the form type regardless of the stock type you are updating.

Notes: Variant options and Variant linking that previously existed in Shopify cannot be imported to Swim. Variant options and linking should be completed manually in Swim.

Image filenames listed in the CSV file can be mirrored with image files by completing the image upload AFTER the Stock Import Template CSV containing the image filenames has been imported to Swim. Image files can be uploaded by navigating to Utilities > System > Upload Pictures.
