Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enhances the security of your Swim account by requiring an additional authentication code when logging in. Please note that 2FA is only available for Store Login and is not applied to individual staff user accounts.

Once 2FA is enabled, you will be prompted to enter an authentication code from your chosen authenticator app when signing into Swim.

Prerequisites

To set up 2FA for your Store Login, you will need the following:

  1. A smartphone: Required to use an authenticator app.
  2. An Authenticator App: We recommend Google Authenticator as a free option, but you may use any authenticator app of your choice (e.g., Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.).

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  1. Navigate to Security Settings
In Swim, go to Utilities > System > Security.

  2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication

    • Toggle the Enable Two-Factor Authentication option to "On".
  3. Set Up Authenticator App

    • Open your authenticator app on your smartphone.
    • Add a new account by scanning the QR code presented in Swim.
  4. Enter Authentication Code

    • After scanning the QR code, the authenticator app will generate a time-sensitive code.
    • Enter the code displayed in your authenticator app into Swim to complete the 2FA setup.

Once this process is complete, you will be required to enter a code from your authenticator app whenever you log in to Swim via Store Login.

Disabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you wish to disable 2FA, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to System Security Settings
In Swim, go to Utilities > System > Security.

  2. Disable Two-Factor Authentication

    • Toggle the Enable Two-Factor Authentication option to "Off".
  3. Confirm with Store Password

    • Enter your store password to confirm the action and disable 2FA.

What to Do If You Lose or Forget Your 2FA Code

If you've lost access to your authenticator app or forgotten your 2FA code, follow these steps to regain access to your Swim store:

  1. Contact Swim Support
  2. Complete ID Verification
    • You will need to complete an ID verification process to confirm your identity before access can be restored.

Important Notes

  • Backup Codes: It is recommended to store any backup codes provided during the 2FA setup in a secure location in case you lose access to your authenticator app.
  • Multiple Store: If you use multiple Swim stores, you will need to set up 2FA on each store that requires authentication.
