Changing Tax Status Of A Sale Or Item

You can make the entire sale tax free  or just select individual items that do not attract tax.

First create the sale following the normal steps.  

To make the entire sale tax free, on the right hand side of the sales screen under 'Purchase Details' will be a dropdown box for 'Tax Value.' Select  'No Tax.' in this field. 

Any items already entered on the sale and any items subsequently entered will then all be tax free.

To make individual items on the sale tax fee, leave the tax status as is and on the individual item on the sale untick the 'taxed' box. Perform this step for each item that does not attract tax

Note: If a sale already has payments on it and you change the tax value, you will need to revise the current balance and fix up any discrepancies in payments and balance.
