Setting Up the Clover Integration in Swim
The Clover integration in Swim is largely self service and can usually be completed within a few minutes. Once connected, Swim will communicate directly with your Clover terminal for payment processing.
Before You Begin
Before connecting Clover to Swim, please ensure:

You have an active Clover account

You know your Clover login credentials

You have administrator access within Swim

Your computer and Clover terminal have an active internet connection
Connecting Clover to Swim
Follow the steps below to establish the connection.
Step 1: Open Merchant Services
From within Swim, navigate to:

Utilities > Sales > Merchant Services
Step 2: Select Clover as the Payment Gateway
Within the Merchant Services page:

Locate the Payment Gateway drop down menu

Select Clover from the list

Step 3: Save the Settings
Before attempting to connect your Clover account:

Click Save Settings

Wait for the settings to save successfully
Important:
-
Do not click Connect to Clover before saving the settings first

Failing to save first may prevent the connection process from working correctly
Step 4: Connect Your Clover Account
Once the settings have been saved:

Click Connect to Clover
-
A Clover sign in window will appear

Enter your Clover account credentials

Follow the prompts to authorise the connection

Step 5: Confirm the Connection
After completing the Clover sign in process:

Return to Swim
-
Confirm the integration now shows as connected
Once connected successfully, Swim will be ready to communicate with your Clover terminal.
Troubleshooting
If the connection does not complete successfully:

Confirm the Clover login credentials are correct

Ensure your internet connection is stable on your computer and Clover terminal

Verify Clover was selected in the Payment Gateway field

Confirm Save Settings was clicked before Connect to Clover
