Increase your Account Security

Keeping your account secure helps protect your business data and prevent unauthorised  access. Below are the best practises to strengthen your account security:

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enhances the security of your Swim account by requiring an additional authentication code when logging in.

Step by step instructions for setting up 2FA are available in our knowledgebase here.

Disable the Default Admin User Account

It is suggested to disable the default Admin user Account to further secure your Swim instance. Follow the steps below:

  1. In Swim, go to Utilities.
  2. Select Users > Manage Users.
  3. Select Administration from the group.
  4. Click Edit User next to Admin Account.
  5. Untick 'Is Active' box.

Unique Swim Client Area Password

Please make sure your Swim client area password is different from the Store Password you use to log in to Swim. You can update your client area password by signing in here. Once signed in, click your name in the top-right corner and select Change Client Area Password, then follow the prompts.
