Changing the Bluetooth Mode on a Scanner (Windows or macOS)
Some scanners support multiple Bluetooth modes depending on the operating system they are being paired with. Follow the steps below to switch between Windows and macOS-compatible Bluetooth modes.
Steps to Change Bluetooth Mode
- Power off the scanner.
- Enter the scanner menu: Hold down the left arrow and power buttons simultaneously until the menu screen appears.
- Navigate to Communication Settings: Use the arrow keys to select Comm & Mode, then press the confirmation button.
- Select Bluetooth Protocol: Choose BTH Protocol from the list.
Choosing the Correct Bluetooth Mode
- If the scanner will be used with a Windows device, select BTH SPP.
- If the scanner will be used with a Mac device, select BTH BLE.
Note: The currently selected option will be marked with asterisks.
- Exit and restart: Press the C button repeatedly to exit the menu. The scanner will automatically restart using the selected Bluetooth mode.
