To transfer or change the customer linked to a sale, follow the steps below.

  • Go to the Sales Menu.
  • Select Transfer Customer Name on Sale.
  • Click Select Sale. Use the search criteria to find the required sale. Select the sale so it is highlighted, then click Next.
  • Click Select Customer. Use the search criteria to find the required customer. Select the customer so it is highlighted.
  • Click Complete Transfer.
Note:
  • This feature can be used to assign a customer name to a cash sale. For example, if you create a quick sale and later need to link it to a customer, use this option.
  • If you need to refund or exchange a cash sale, it is recommended to first assign the sale to a customer using this feature. This ensures a customer record is linked to the transaction.
  • Refunding a cash sale as customer credit requires the sale to be linked to a customer first, otherwise there is no customer record to allocate the credit to.
