Comprehensive Guide to Jewelsure


Introduction to Jewelsure:


Jewelsure is a unique integration with the Swim software that allows jewellers to automatically process insurance quotes & sales from the point of sale. Jewelsure is currently local to Australian jewellers only.


Before using Jewelsure you will of course need to be a jewelsure client, as activation of jewelsure requires a jewelsure account. If you are not a Jewelsure client, you can find out more here:https://www.jewelsure.com.au/Contact.aspx




Initial Setup:


Setup is very simple and can be activated via Utilities > Insurance > Sale Insurance.

  1. When on this page, select 'Jewelsure' as the Insurer

  2. Type in your client name as recognised by Jewelsure

  3. Then type in the key you receive from Jewelsure into the 'API Key' field

  4. Finally, hit ‘Save’ and you are all completed for the setup period.


If you are unable to see Jewelsure as a selectable insurer please ensure your locale country (through Utilities > System > Locale) is set to Australian locale.




Using Jewelsure in a sale:


Quick Notes:

  • Jewelsure quick insurance option can be used for either non-stock or inventory items.

  • Jewelsure will only work on the standard sale type, that is ‘Sales, Repairs, Valuations’ option when selecting the sale type.

  • The customer must have a valid postcode in their address, and a valid email address

  • Jewelsure insurance can only be paid for with credit card at this time.

  1. Create a sale using the standard sale type with a customer, or open an existing sale with a customer.

  2. Find the item you wish to insure on the sale, and click on that item’s line.

  3. The work-order pop-up will now appear with an option saying ‘Get Quote’, click this.

  4. It will now list an Insurance Premium, after conveying this to the customer you may click ‘Purchase Insurance’.

  5. You will now be taken to the Jewelsure summary and payment screen on a new tab in your browser: Please note that this webpage is separate from the Swim software so we are not responsible for any errors experienced here.

  6. Confirm the summary is correct and proceed with the payment details, then click ‘Confirm Payment’ when ready.

  7. You may now return to the Swim tab where you will be asked if the payment was successful, hit ‘Yes’ if it was successful or ‘No’ if it wasn’t.

  8. You have now completed the insurance steps in Swim.




End of Day Procedure:


You do not need to do anything extra for your End of Day procedure when using Jewelsure insurance integration with Swim, relevant details will be backed up to Jewelsure who will be able to confirm details for you.




Troubleshooting:


  • If you are finding that Jewelsure is not working for a particular customer, please ensure that the customer being insured has both a customer address and email on their Swim Customer Profile.

  • If you are experiencing issues with accessing the Jewelsure web-page during the insuring steps, you may need to contact Jewelsure for guidance.
