One click printing docket receipts

One click webprinting is only available to receipt printers that support Star Webprint functionality

Configuring Swim and your Star Receipt Printer

  1. Click the 3 horizontal bars in the top right corner of Swim and select Utilities from the drop down menu.
  2. Select Printing from the left side menu and click on Cloud Printing.
  3. In the hosts field enter in the IP address of your receipt printer ensuring that you include the “.” in between each set of numbers. (Excluding the quotation marks ")
  4. Click Save to confirm the IP address.


Note if you are unsure of your Star receipt printer's IP address simply turn your printer off by the power switch on the side of the printer. Once the printer is powered off hold down the feed button whilst turning on the printer, you will receive two print outs the second receipt will contain the IP address at the top.

Configuring Firefox for Web Printing

  1. From the URL bar in Firefox type in about:config
  2. Click on "I will be careful"
  3. In the search bar type in "mixed" (without the quotations)
  4. Right click on security.mixed_content.block_active_content and select toggle
  5. Ensure the value is now showing false

Customising your docket receipt

  1. Click the 3 horizontal bars in the top right corner of Swim and select Utilities from the drop down menu.
  2. Select Printing from the left side menu and click on Receipt
  3. From the receipts page you can enable and adjust your receipts settings to your liking, we recommend that you tick both “Display Original price” and “Display discount”
  4. The header and footer fields give you the opportunity to enter your stores details or a thank-you message directly onto the receipt.

 

Please note it is important to know that there is a difference between the footer and a Layby footer, any information you type into the footer field will not be present on a Layby docket receipt unless it is replicated in the Layby footer. The layby footer is an excellent place to enter any layby terms and conditions your store has in place.
